“I am Armands – a dad, a husband, a photographer – living and working in the capital of Latvia – Riga.
2007, some months after I had bought my first DSLR, I started to take photography more seriously.
Nature and landscape (especially seascapes) photography is my favourite, and my favourite time of day is when the sun meets the horizon and the light comes to its extremes. Although my photography technique anticipates that the images I make are usually converted into black and white.
I am fascinated by the way photography can make things visible that are invisible to the naked eye. It is the combination of magic and science that makes photography so attractive to me and I hope I can bring some of that magic over to the viewers.
Some people have asked me if this is just a hobby or if I was a serious professional. I’d say it’s a serious hobby…
I will appreciate any constructive comments or critique so feel free to share your thoughts and ask questions if you have any. Use the guestbook to leave comments or send private messages.”
